The Helmet Has Arrived!

Things started off okay, but once the helmet was on, Zoe realized just how sleepy and hungry she was and...

she started having a meltdown. So while the helmet was taken away and being adjusted, I fed her some milk, and after that she was back to her smiling self.

But by the time we put her in the van to go home, she was exhausted...

missing her nap, she could barely keep her eyes open and fell asleep shortly after this picture was taken.
The process of Zoe wearing her helmet 23 hours a day will be over several days, starting with an hour on, then an hour off. Besides getting her used to wearing the helmet, the slow transition is mostly for us checking for red spots and making sure her sensitive baby skin isn't reacting poorly to the helmet's materials. Hopefully, she'll do well!
